Once upon a time in Europe...

After Sony, Philips and the other companies have left the European MSX-market, the MSX-Trader's-Community arose out of the necessity. An effort to join the forces of the MSX-programmers (mainly from Germany and Swiss) was made in a meeting where future projects like a common user-interface which can be used by all programmers were discussed. Unfortunately, this meeting was infertile, and with the end of the meeting, the cooperation between the MSX-Trader's-Community and the programmers ended as well, except for one: Michael Stellmann. After some problems, the Community split and only Peter Burkhard continued with it.

Fortunately, there was an active MSX-Club in Swiss. Andreas Trütsch and Michael Stellmann joined and developped some demos like THE SWISS DEMO and THE RAY-TRACING DEMO which could be spread with the help of the MSX-Trader's-Community in Tilburg/Holland. On such a fair, the V9990 Application Manual came up and Michael Stellmann (MI-CHI) was very enthusiastic about it. We decided to order some Evaluation-Boards from Yamaha to test the new VDP. On the search for a graphician for a paint programm for the V9990, we found Henrik Gilvad. It turned out that Henrik is an excellent hardware-developper, and so he made the new graphic-card for the MSX: the Graphics9000. After it became evident that distributing hardware in Holland from Swiss is almost impossible, we chose Stichting Sunrise as our distribution-partner in Holland. Due to some special events, the name `MSX-Trader's-Community` was changed into `Sunrise Swiss`. Now, the group consists of Michael Stellmann, Henrik Gilvad, Marcel Trütsch, André Küpfer, Koen Hartingsveldt and Peter Burkhard.

Sunrise Swiss develops innovative products for the MSX, in order to support a fantastic computer system. We also cooperate with other groups to offer a wide variety of interesting products for the MSX-users.
